Parenting - Let's Talk About It
Every Sunday until May 20, 2018
11:15am – 12:15am
Location: 15721 Forest Park Drive, Woodbridge, VA 22193Coordinator: Brenda Seefeldt Amodea
This is a parenting class with the goal of not helping you feel like a failure as a parent. The culture already does that and then there is your own doubts you have about your parenting. We will start with the premise that parenting is your responsibility and it is hard as well as joyful and there is nothing greater that can leave you feeling more vulnerable.
We will be using the book Parenting by Paul David Tripp as our source. Everyone who attends class will be given a book. For each week we will be covering in discussion (not lecture!) one of the principles. The teacher will be Brenda Amodea, our Family and Youth Director, but she is only the guide. This is open to parents of all ages. The principles apply across the age spectrum. No matter what age your children are, your voice is welcomed. Join us.
The session will begin immediately following morning worship at Forest Park High School and will last about an hour. Our children’s ministry will also have second hour programming during this time so childcare will be provided.
